In a recent revelation, songwriters Jamie Scott and Mozella disclosed that Adele sought to record "Fool's Gold," a track they penned for One Direction's 2014 album "Four." The duo recounted that after composing the song, they played it for Harry Styles, who was immediately captivated by it. Subsequently, Adele contacted Scott, expressing her admiration for the track. However, by that time, the song had already been committed to One Direction, and the songwriters were unable to offer it to Adele. "Fool's Gold" ultimately became a standout track on "Four," which topped charts in both the UK and the US. This incident highlights the intricate dynamics of song selection and artist collaboration in the music industry.
