Harry Styles' record-breaking 30-show residency at Madison Square Garden is set to be the subject of a new documentary directed by filmmaker John Wilson. The project aims to provide an in-depth look at Styles' performances, backstage moments, and the experiences of those involved in the production.
Wilson, known for his work on HBO's 'How To with John Wilson' and the documentary 'The History of Concrete,' began filming the residency in August. The documentary is a collaboration between Universal Pictures Content Group, Peanut World Pictures, and Styles himself, with Universal holding global distribution rights. While the release date and distribution plans are still being finalized, the project is expected to offer fans a unique perspective on Styles' historic engagement at the iconic venue.
The Madison Square Garden residency, part of Styles' 'Together, Together' tour, commenced in late August and is scheduled to conclude on October 31. This engagement marks the longest single-residency in the venue's history, underscoring Styles' significant impact on the music scene.
