Olivia Rodrigo Acquires Iconic Meg White Dress from 'Elephant' Album Cover

Pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo has added a significant piece to her collection of rock memorabilia by acquiring the vintage white Gunne Sax dress worn by Meg White on the cover of The White Stripes' 2003 album, 'Elephant'.

The dress, a white cotton eyelet maxi, was sold at a Julien's Auctions event in May 2026 for $25,600, surpassing its estimated value of $4,000 to $6,000. Rodrigo, a long-time admirer of The White Stripes, revealed her purchase in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, describing the amount spent as 'exorbitant'.

Initially, Rodrigo considered wearing the dress at her Daisy Chain Fields festival in August 2026 but decided against it due to the summer heat. She expressed hope to wear it at a future event, stating, 'Maybe if I do Daisy Chain in the winter, I can wear it.'

This acquisition underscores Rodrigo's deep appreciation for The White Stripes and their influence on her musical journey. The dress now serves as a tangible connection between the pop star and the iconic rock duo.
