Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and WaterTower Music today released "The Cat in the Hat Theme Song," an original song at the center of THE CAT IN THE HAT, the studio's first full-length feature film and the beloved character's animated theatrical feature film debut, in theaters and IMAX® November 6. Written by Tim Minchin and performed by FITZ & Tim Minchin featuring Bill Hader as the Cat, the track is produced by GRAMMY Award winning composer Lorne Balfe and Minchin. Balfe also composed the film's score. The full soundtrack album arrives from WaterTower Music on October 30, 2026.

The song is exactly what its subject would want it to be, which is to say a piece of self promotion with a horn section. It is the Cat's own theme, written from the inside out, and it sets the tone for a film built by artists who were given room to play.
